About The Pattern

This pattern provides directions and template for an Afghan Hound soft sculpture dog that will stand approximately 8" tall. This is a project that will take two or three afternoons and is partially hand sewn and partially machine sewn with a wire armature. You will be able to choose any color Afghan Hound since the pattern includes instructions for painting your creation if can not find the color faux fur you desire. This pattern will also allow you to select between two methods for creating your hound. You can create it entirely from faux fur (in the color of your fur or later paint white fur). Or, you may choose to create it from faux suede or muslin and hand sew fur onto your creation. You may also choose between creating bead eyes or hand painting your dogs features. Below is an example of a hand painted dog with fur hand-sewn into place.
