Chinese Shar-Pei
Can baggy PJs and a hippopotamus face be beautiful?
Ask any Shar-Pei fancier and they will tell you it is love at first
sight and beyond! To their one special person they are simply the
most charming (though perhaps not gregarious) creature on four legs. For
this pattern you can choose between two templates, one for lots of
wrinkles and one for less (more conservative) wrinkles.
A
special note on this pattern: This pattern, as you can imagine, takes a
bit of patience. There are more steps in creating this breed than
in some of my others. The Shar-Pei pattern
shows you how to craft your dog from muslin and faux suede or mole skin fabric. You will be creating
an
under-body with an outer-skin on which you will sculpt the charming
wrinkles.
