Sphynx Cat
| Khaframau, Giza's Little Treasure | |
|
Late one night, the mighty pharaoh Khafra studied the plans for his impressive tomb at Giza. His brow was heavy with the weight of all Egypt resting on him. He glanced up from the papyrus roll to see his beloved cat laying in noble repose on the desk. The creature was unconcerned that it was creasing papyrus pages bearing the royal seal of a dozen nations. It was unimpressed to by laying in the presence of the mighty pharaoh. It looked condescendingly at Khafra and blinked slowly. Pharaoh obediently gave the cat a portion of his midnight snack. Suddenly, in a burst of inspiration, Khafra knew what shape to give his tomb. He would call it, The Sphinx. |
